Autumn Blog

28th of October.

Autumn has started, and here's a summary of what happened this month.

Our last day at Vbeing was on the 13th of October. Shaf and myself are in the process of setting up a new company, and next week we are planning to start the design of the new website. We will keep you posted when we go life. I'll be starting contract work in Germany on the 5th of November, which is really exciting. So the flights have now changed from 8 hours every trip (to Delhi) to roughly one hour (to Stuttgart). Linda and myself went over there by car (racing over the Autobahn), and stayed there for one night. Beautiful place, and very clean. Th eproject looks very promising !

Our Halloween pumpkin after an hour of carving.

I had my 37th birthday yesterday, but had nothing planned. I met up with Shaf in town, where we had a coffee at Starbucks, and went to John Lewis to get myself one of those iPod Touch devices. Great gadget, and highly recommendable ! That will replace my old Palm V which I bought back in 1999. What I did not know is that Linda secretly arranged a surprise party for when I came back from town. So when we cycled home, I noticed balloons at the front of the house. And my friends opened the door....I really appreciated the effort, and I did not even expect what they did.

Our Pumpkin in the dark.

Today we took it easy. Preparing my laptop for my trip next week, visited the new B&Q here in Peterborough, did some food shopping. And just finished carving our pumpkin for Halloween. I've got some pictures of it. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (the carving of a pumpkin).
